About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced U.S. Tax Manager to join a high-performing tax team supporting a U.S.-based public accounting and advisory firm. This role is ideal for a senior tax professional based in the Philippines who has strong experience in U.S. tax compliance and advisory services, and is confident in leading engagements and managing remote teams.
You will be responsible for reviewing complex U.S. tax returns, supporting tax planning initiatives, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating directly with U.S.-based teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Review and manage the preparation of U.S. federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
- Provide guidance on U.S. tax compliance, planning, and technical issues
- Conduct tax research and draft memorandums on complex matters
- Supervise and mentor a team of tax associates and seniors in the Philippines
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all client deliverables
- Communicate proactively with U.S.-based managers, partners, and clients
- Stay updated with U.S. tax laws and regulations relevant to client needs
- Contribute to internal process improvements and knowledge sharing
- Enrolled Agent or U.S. CPA is a strong advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s in Taxation is a plus
- At least 5–7 years of experience in U.S. taxation, ideally with a U.S. public accounting firm or shared service center
- Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws, including individual, corporate, partnership, and trust taxation
- Proficient in U.S. tax software such as CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, Lacerte, or similar
- Excellent command of English, both verbal and written
- Experience managing remote teams and handling direct client communication
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
