Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Representative with a passion for agriculture to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with farmers, agricultural businesses, and other key stakeholders in the agricultural industry. This role requires a combination of sales, technical knowledge, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Sales Prospecting & Lead Generation:

  • Identify and qualify potential customers, including farmers, agricultural cooperatives, and agribusinesses.
  • Conduct market research to identify and target new business opportunities within the agricultural sector.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads.

Product Knowledge & Promotion:

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of our company\'s product offerings, including (mention specific products like seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, livestock feed, etc.).
  • Effectively communicate product benefits and value propositions to customers.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to farmers and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in agricultural fairs, trade shows, and other industry events.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions to their agricultural challenges.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to farmers on product usage, best practices, and crop management.

Sales Reporting & Analysis:

  • Track sales performance against targets and prepare regular sales reports.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies and tactics within the agricultural sector.

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities within the agricultural sector.
  • Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product development and sales strategies.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the agriculture industry (e.g., selling seeds, fertilizers, livestock feed, agricultural equipment).
  • Strong understanding of agricultural practices, including crop production, livestock farming, and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with farmers and other stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented with a strong drive to achieve sales targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant sales tools.
  • Ability to travel within assigned territories (may require frequent travel).
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field preferred.
