The Ports Engineer will lead the scoping, conceptual design, and pre-feasibility and feasibility study stages of projects related to marine terminals and optionally, dry docks/shipyards. The role involves conducting comprehensive reviews, analyses, and stakeholder engagements to inform strategic recommendations and project development.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Port Engineer position involves conducting thorough reviews of existing studies and regulations in the maritime sector, identifying regulatory gaps, and proposing actionable recommendations for sustainable growth. Responsibilities also include assessing met-ocean conditions, evaluating port facilities and transportation infrastructure, and identifying areas for improvement to support strategic development initiatives.

Additionally, the role involves facilitating stakeholder meetings in the maritime industry, conducting demand and supply analysis, proposing potential locations for feasibility studies, and developing conceptual masterplan options for marine terminals and integrated facilities. In the feasibility and project formulation stage, the Senior Port Engineer will specify and manage basic surveys of chosen locations, analyze optimal layouts, and develop business cases, legal requirements, and regulatory frameworks.

The Senior Port Engineer will be responsible for regular reporting to the line manager on project progress throughout its duration, ensuring effective communication and oversight of key milestones and developments. Furthermore, the position entails taking on additional tasks assigned by the company management for the formulation of new project proposals and providing technical support in business development strategies within the ports and maritime sector. This includes contributing expertise to the company's broader goals in identifying and pursuing new opportunities in the industry.

Qualifications:

Master or Bachelor degree in civil engineering, maritime engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience in the maritime infrastructure development projects.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in project management, team management and feasibility analysis tools.
