About the role

This role involves performing power system studies and engineering analysis to support the design, evaluation, and optimization of electrical systems. You will conduct load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, protection coordination studies, and arc flash studies. You will evaluate system performance for substations, transmission, and distribution networks, develop and review single line diagrams and power system schematics, and specify electrical equipment ratings. You will ensure all designs and studies comply with Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), IEC/IEEE standards, and utility and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform power system studies including load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, protection coordination studies, and arc flash studies
  • Evaluate system performance for substations, transmission, and distribution networks
  • Develop and review single line diagrams (SLD) and power system schematics
  • Specify and review electrical equipment ratings such as transformers, switchgear, breakers, and protective devices
  • Review vendor technical submissions and ensure compliance with project requirements and standards
  • Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and recommendations
  • Ensure designs and studies comply with Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), IEC/IEEE standards, utility, client, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with design engineers, project engineers, and construction teams
  • Provide technical support during installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Participate in project meetings, technical reviews, and site inspections

About you

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 2–5 years experience in power system analysis or design
  • Proficient in power system software such as ETAP, SKM, DIgSILENT, or equivalent
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documents
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Licensed Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) or Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) is an advantage
  • Experience in power utilities, EPC, or construction projects is preferred
