Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update patient records within the Epic EMR system.
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up care.
- Handle inbound and outbound patient communications.
- Assist providers with chart preparation, documentation, and administrative tasks.
- Process referrals, authorizations, and medical records requests.
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Support healthcare providers in delivering efficient patient care.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
Qualifications Required
- Previous experience as a Virtual Medical Assistant, Medical Assistant, or healthcare support professional.
- Hands-on experience with Epic EMR/EHR.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Reliable internet connection and dedicated workspace.
Preferred
- Experience supporting U.S.-based healthcare providers.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, referrals, authorizations, and insurance verification.
- Immediate availability.
Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pacific Time
