About the role

St. Luke's Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Aide to join our aged care team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to our elderly residents. As a Clinical Aide, you will work closely with nursing staff and healthcare professionals to ensure our residents receive the dignity, comfort and assistance they deserve during their stay with us. This role is fundamental to maintaining the health, safety and wellbeing of our aged care patients.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensures orderliness and cleanliness of the area and coordinates with the Managers on Housekeeping matters for the comfort of patients and associates.
  • Answers inquiries courteously and accurately if within his/her responsibilities or refers them to concerned parties to ensure accurate and proper dissemination of information.
  • Maintain clean and safe patient environments, including making beds and managing patient care equipment
  • Assist with feeding and hydration support, ensuring patients receive adequate nutrition and fluids
  • Respond promptly to patient requests and calls for assistance
  • Help maintain patient records and report observations accurately to the nursing team
  • Support nursing staff during medical procedures and patient examinations
  • Follow infection control protocols and maintain a hygienic environment

What we're looking for

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Completion of a certified Clinical Aide or Healthcare Assistant training programme, or relevant certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work compassionately with elderly patients
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and assisting patients safely
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and hygiene
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Reliability, punctuality and a professional attitude towards patient care
  • Basic knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends as required
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification is preferred
  • Previous experience in aged care or healthcare settings is advantageous
