Transcription Reviewer – Short-Term Project
Project Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented Tagalog speaker for a short-term, flexible transcription review project. The selected reviewer will review and correct AI-generated audio transcripts to ensure accuracy, strict verbatim precision, and high-quality linguistic tagging.
Workload Approximately 20 to 40
hours 100% quality review
of the assigned audio Expected review ratio: approximately
2 hours of work for every 1 hour of audio Short-term project with a flexible schedule Reviewers must be able to complete the assigned workload within the project timeline
Responsibilities Review AI-generated transcripts:
Verify and correct machine-generated transcripts by carefully comparing them with the original audio. Apply strict verbatim transcription:
Capture speech exactly as spoken, including disfluencies such as 'um' and 'uh,' false starts, repetitions, and word fragments (for example, 'I- I woke up'). Add timestamps and linguistic tags: Accurately mark the beginning and end of speech segments and identify non-verbal sounds or emotions using the required bracketed tags, such as (laugh) and (breath). Follow formatting guidelines:
Apply all required spelling, punctuation, segmentation, and stylistic rules. For example, numbers and currencies must be written as verbalized, so '$100' would be transcribed as 'one hundred dollars.' Perform quality control:
Ensure that every reviewed transcript meets the project's accuracy and formatting standards before submission.
Requirements Language:
You must be a Tagalog speaker. Current residency:
You must currently reside in the Philippines. We will not consider applications from candidates living outside this country. Relevant experience:
Previous experience in verbatim transcription, subtitling, linguistic annotation, or transcript quality review is highly preferred. Strong attention to detail:
Ability to listen carefully and consistently follow detailed transcription, punctuation, tagging, and formatting guidelines. Technical proficiency:
Comfortable using web-based transcription platforms and AI-review tools. Availability:
Able to complete approximately 40 hours of project work within the required timeline. Confidentiality and security:
Willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and comply with strict data privacy and information-security requirements.
Rate:
$10.80 per audio hour
Please note that we will contact only selected candidates. Thank you for your interest and understanding.
