About the role
The Special Projects Engineer Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring various engineering and capital projects of the Group of Companies. The position will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Asset Management, Finance, Purchasing, contractors, suppliers, and other departments to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, according to approved specifications, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, implement, and monitor engineering and capital projects
- Work with Operations, Maintenance, Asset Management, Finance, Purchasing, contractors, and suppliers
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Ensure projects meet approved specifications and comply with safety and quality standards
- Conduct site visits and travel between company and project locations
- Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Coordinate multiple stakeholders
- Solve unexpected project issues
- Provide Management with practical engineering and cost recommendations
About you
- Licensed Civil Engineer.
- At least 6-7 years of relevant engineering/project management experience
- Strong knowledge of project planning, cost estimation, construction methods, and contractor management
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project or other project management tools
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Capable of taking ownership of projects from concept to completion
- Able to work independently and coordinate multiple stakeholders
