Senior Financial Analyst – Product

Overview

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Senior Financial Analyst to support our Product Finance team through the design, development, and maintenance of financial models focused on pricing, promotions, and product performance. This role enables data-driven decision making by providing high quality, standardized, and scalable modeling tools that reflect key business drivers and segment strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, a deep understanding of cost and margin structures, and the ability to translate business requirements into well-structured, user-friendly models.

• Financial & Pricing Model Development
  Design, build, and maintain pricing and promotional models aligned with segmentation strategies, cost structures, and go-to-market frameworks.
• Develop tools to simulate pricing and promotional scenarios, calculate ROI, and forecast financial impacts under different market assumptions.
• Construct standardized financial models to support new product introduction (NPI) analysis, product performance tracking, and pricing decisions.

• Translate product performance needs into model structures that align with business goals for growth, profitability, and investment.
• Develop reusable model templates and calculators for use across product segments and use cases.
• Support the standardization of product-level metrics, such as price/mix/margin, through automated model outputs.

• Support the automation of insights from models into downstream reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel dashboards).
• Collaborate with analytics and reporting teams to ensure consistent use of inputs, assumptions, and formulas across platforms.

• Maintain detailed documentation of all model logic, assumptions, version changes, and data sources.
• Perform regular quality checks and updates to ensure models remain accurate and aligned with current business structures.

• Partner with Product Finance, Pricing, and other teams to gather business requirements and translate them into model features.
• Work in a support capacity with strategic teams to ensure financial models reflect appropriate methodologies, logic, and assumptions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, MBA) a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in financial modeling, pricing analytics, or product finance, with a strong emphasis on model creation and maintenance.
• Expert-level proficiency in Excel (modeling, formulas, scenario tools); experience with SQL, Power Query, or Power BI a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written documentation skills to ensure clarity and continuity in model logic and purpose.
• Comfortable handling large data sets and integrating inputs from multiple systems or sources.
