Job Description

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive government affairs strategy aligned with the company's goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in government, regulatory agencies, and NGOs.
  • Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments that may impact the business.
  • Advise senior leadership on legal and policy matters affecting operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Represent the company in public consultations, hearings, and industry forums.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Legal, Compliance, Communications, etc.) to ensure alignment on policy positions and advocacy efforts.
  • Lead engagement efforts with trade associations and multi-stakeholder platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in lobbying and advocacy activities.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 10 years of experience in government affairs, legal advisory, or public policy, preferably in FMCG or other regulated industries.
  • Strong network and proven engagement with government agencies, NGOs, and regulatory bodies.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with strong legal and policy insight.
  • Excellent communicator and negotiator, able to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, comfortable working in cross-functional teams.
  • High integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.
