About The Role As an Assistant Controller , you will support the financial management team by assisting with daily accounting operations, preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role bridges operational execution and strategic oversight, contributing to accurate financial reporting and internal controls. Responsibilities Support the financial management team with daily accounting operations. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and reporting requirements. Bridge operational execution and strategic financial oversight. Contribute to maintaining accurate financial reporting and effective internal controls. Assist in implementing and improving accounting processes and procedures. Collaborate with management to support budgeting, financial planning and decision-making. Assistance with Audits and Tax Preparation. Financial Statement and Project-Based Analytics. Competencies and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, finance or related field. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards. Proficient in multiple accounting software programs (eg. QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, etc.). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Experience in audit preparation and multi-state tax compliance. Strong attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities as needed. Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with the manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted). Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel (e.g., formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation). Fluency in English: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to independently compose clear and professional routine correspondence. Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player. Reliable internet connection and equipment. Nice-to-Have Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Vantagepoint or other project-based ERP platforms) and process automation tools (e.g., Power BI). Experience working in consultancy or billable time–based industries is an advantage.
