PSYCHIATRY TECHNICIAN

Overview Join as a PSYCHIATRY TECHNICIAN at Montefiore Health System, located in Bronx, New York. The role supports the Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit in an acute inpatient psychiatric setting. Location & Schedule City/State: Bronx, New YorkWork Shift: EveningScheduled Hours: 3 PM – 11:30 PMHourly Rate: $31.37 Responsibilities Maintain a safe, structured environment for children and adolescents. Engage patients in therapeutic activities and daily needs throughout hospitalization. Assist with clinical tasks, including phlebotomy, EKGs, and point-of-care testing. Support the multidisciplinary team under registered nurse guidance. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; two years full‑time nursing/psychiatric experience in high‑volume, intensive care setting. Graduate of a State Certified PCT/PCA program. Completion of vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, and blood glucose monitoring. Successful completion of training in restraints and seclusion. Basic Life Support certification.
