Job Description — Bookkeeper (Accounts Payable)

ZigZag is looking for a Bookkeeper - Accounts Payable to join our team

Working schedule is Mon to Fri, 6am to 3pm Manila Time. Work from home setup.

The Bookkeeper is an assistant data-entry role, responsible for assisting the Accounts Team in the functions of entering and recording bills, invoices and payments, processing accounts payables, and other general duties. The role reports directly to the Accounting Manager and Accountant.

Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable: Process and complete data entry for supplier invoices and bills; prepare weekly batch payments reports under supervision.
  • Accounts Receivable: Raise and issue invoices, process payments, monitor payments and follow up on overdue payments under supervision.
  • Bank reconciliation: Reconcile incoming receipts and outgoing payments with invoices and bills on time.
  • General bookkeeping and data entry: Reconcile accounts in the general ledger and ensure accuracy of data in Xero; investigate discrepancies.
  • Inbox management and communication: Respond to emails in the account inbox and supplier/departments inquiries under supervision.
  • Attention to detail: Apply accurate methods to complete the volume of work assigned.
  • Ad-hoc duties and reporting: Support data entry, reporting, and analysis as requested by management.
Qualifications
  • Must have at least 1-2 years of experience as a Bookkeeper and Accounts Payable.
  • Experience in Xero is a must.
