About the role
JDD Construction Inc. is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities and ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, equipment, and services needed for our operations and projects.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the overall procurement process from sourcing to delivery
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and procedures
- Source and evaluate suppliers, contractors, and service providers
- Negotiate pricing, terms, contracts, and delivery schedules
- Monitor purchase orders, deliveries, and supplier performance
- Ensure materials, equipment, and services are delivered according to project requirements
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and develop new sources when needed
- Monitor procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost savings
- Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, Finance, and other departments
- Supervise and provide guidance to the procurement team
About you
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 5–8 years of relevant procurement experience, with supervisory or managerial experience
- Strong experience in sourcing, supplier management, and negotiation
- Knowledge of procurement processes, contracts, and cost control
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred
- Willing to travel to project sites or suppliers as required
