Solution Architect – Data Analytics (AWS) – SoftwareOne

Location: Manila / Makati (various postings)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect – Data Analytics for AWS to join our team. The role focuses on designing and implementing data analytics solutions on the AWS platform. Candidate will have deep knowledge of data analytics technologies, AWS services, and a track record of architecting scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design: Gather requirements, design end-to-end data analytics solutions, and create architectural diagrams and documentation.
  • AWS Expertise: Use AWS services (Redshift, EMR, Kinesis, Glue, QuickSight, etc.) to architect robust data analytics platforms.
  • Data Modeling: Design and optimize data models for reporting and BI, ensuring data integrity and performance.
  • Scalability and Performance: Ensure solutions are scalable, high-performing, and cost-efficient.
  • Data Integration: Define ETL strategies to load data into the analytics platform with quality controls.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Troubleshooting and Optimization: Resolve performance and data quality issues.
  • Collaboration: Work with data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders.
  • Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and technologies.

What we need to see from you

Skills:

  • 3+ years as a Solution Architect or similar, focusing on data analytics and AWS.
  • Hands-on AWS experience (Redshift, EMR, Kinesis, Glue, QuickSight, etc.).
  • Strong data modeling, ETL, data warehousing, and governance knowledge.
  • Python, SQL or similar languages; data manipulation and transformation.
  • Problem-solving, strong communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and version control.

Education and Certification

  • Bachelors or associate degree in IT discipline.
  • AWS Certified: Solution Architect and AWS Data Analytics Specialty or equivalent.

What we need to see from you

Report to practice lead.

  • Develop and test data analytics platforms and models with project teams.
  • Design, develop, and unit test per standards.
  • Assist in analyzing technical issues and preparing documentation.
  • Package and support deployment releases; assist in capturing user requirements and estimating effort.
