Overview Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant Location: Remote Start Date: Immediate Job Type: Full-Time (30-40 hours per week) We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of Australian taxation experience. The role involves preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships, generating accurate financial statements, and ensuring ATO compliance. The successful candidate will support year-end processes, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and may assist with SMSF accounting. Proficiency in Xero is essential, along with strong financial reporting skills and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines. Experience with South Australian clients is a plus. Mentorship of junior staff may also be required. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, company, trust, and partnership tax returns in accordance with Australian taxation laws. Generate accurate and timely financial statements and reports. Ensure compliance with ATO regulations and deadlines. Support end-of-year financial processes and reconciliations. Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete financial documentation. Assist with Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) accounting and compliance. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
