The Role We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Bookkeeper to support client engagements and day‑to‑day financial operations. This remote position is ideal for someone experienced in QuickBooks Online and passionate about helping small and mid‑size businesses succeed. As a Bookkeeper, you will report to the COO and support client engagements under the direction of the lead CFO for each engagement. You will deliver accurate, timely, and insightful bookkeeping that empowers CFOs to focus on strategic analysis and guidance. You will be part of a collaborative team that values communication, continuous improvement, and long‑term client relationships. Location & Employment Must be in Colombia – Remote. Colombian and International teams. Advanced English (B2+–C1). Contract: Non‑fixed Term Colombian Contract. Timezone: Monday to Friday – 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of professional bookkeeping experience, ideally supporting small businesses Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (debits/credits, chart of accounts, reconciliations) Experience with cloud‑based financial systems and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365) Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote setup Comfortable working 8 AM to 5 PM U.S. time, Monday through Friday Responsibilities Record and categorize day‑to‑day financial transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll entries, general ledger journal entries) Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts Maintain accurate and organized financial records in QuickBooks Online Support monthly and quarterly close processes by preparing reconciliations, schedules, and draft reports Communicate regularly with lead CFOs to identify missing documentation, resolve discrepancies, and address issues in a timely manner Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for financial statements, reports, and analyses as directed by the lead CFO Create and adhere to established internal processes, ensuring consistency in bookkeeping practices across all client engagements Proactively flag unusual transactions, errors, or gaps for CFO review Identify and recommend improvements to financial processes and systems #J-18808-Ljbffr
