Job Description

Dispensing Medications:

  • Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy, legality, and potential drug interactions.
  • Ensure proper labeling and instructions for patient use.
  • Provide guidance on medication usage, dosages, and possible side effects.
  • Educate patients on drug interactions and lifestyle adjustments.
  • Address customer concerns and answer medication-related questions.

Inventory and Compliance:

  • Maintain stock levels and check for expired medications.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Keep accurate records of prescriptions and controlled substances.

Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals:

  • Work with doctors and nurses to optimize patient treatment plans.
  • Recommend alternative medications when necessary.
  • Monitor patient health and provide follow-up care if required.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BSPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
  • License: Must be a licensed pharmacist.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of drug interactions, dosage calculations, and medical conditions.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex medical information to patients clearly.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in dispensing medications and reviewing prescriptions.
  • Patient-focused and compassionate.
  • Organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ethical and committed to ensuring medication safety.
