Scrum Master – Modernization Programs (.NET / Cloud Initiatives) Location: Remote - Philippines (U.S., EST overlap required) Contract Duration: Initial 6 months with potential extension Reports To: Engineering Leadership Overview We’re driving a large-scale modernization across multiple high-volume transactional and digital payment systems. These systems power customer applications, payment workflows, and backend services that process millions of transactions annually. We’re looking for a Scrum Master who can bridge agile delivery and technical execution—someone comfortable navigating both backend modernization and front-end integration work. The ideal candidate has led modernization efforts for legacy .NET environments migrating toward .NET 8, microservices, and cloud-native architectures (Azure and AWS). This role will float between modernization programs (e.g., payments, CRM integration, API rebuilds), ensuring velocity, alignment, and delivery discipline across teams. Key Responsibilities Serve as Scrum Master across multiple engineering squads focused on backend and frontend modernization. Drive sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release readiness. Partner closely with Engineering Leads and Architects to translate modernization deliverables into actionable sprint goals. Track and remove impediments quickly, fostering ownership and autonomy within each squad. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product, UX) to maintain alignment on dependencies and delivery timelines. Ensure that Agile ceremonies lead to measurable outcomes and delivery improvements. Support modernization deliverables such as API rewrites, microservice decomposition, and cloud migrations. Reinforce CI/CD and engineering quality standards within Azure DevOps pipelines. Produce clear sprint reports, velocity metrics, and progress updates for leadership visibility. Qualifications 7+ years of total experience, with at least 4 years as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead. Proven background supporting .NET modernization or enterprise re-architecture efforts. Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and software delivery principles. Experience collaborating with distributed engineering teams (onshore/offshore). Familiarity with Azure DevOps , Atlassian Suite (Jira/Confluence) , and CI/CD delivery models. Comfort working in complex technical ecosystems (legacy systems, hybrid cloud, microservices). Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills; capable of driving accountability without micromanagement. Certification (CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP) preferred but not required. Location: Remote - Philippines-based candidates with US EST overlap preferred. Schedule: Full-time contractor; immediate onboarding expected. Duration: 6-month initial contract with strong potential for extension across modernization tracks.
