Overview

Responsible for the identification, measurement, monitoring, and reporting of financial and market risks for Vivant Energy Corporation (VEC) and its controlled subsidiaries. The role manages market and credit risk exposures, supports the development of risk management and business continuity programs, and facilitates the implementation of risk-related initiatives across the organization. The manager also provides guidance to subsidiaries, ensures effective communication of risk issues, and performs other tasks necessary to achieve departmental objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, measure, monitor, and report financial and market risks for VEC and its controlled subsidiaries.
  • Manage market and credit risk exposures; support development of risk management and business continuity programs.
  • Facilitate implementation of risk-related initiatives across the organization.
  • Provide guidance to subsidiaries and communicate risk issues effectively across the organization.
  • Perform other tasks necessary to achieve departmental objectives.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years" experience in financial and commercial risk management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present actionable insights.
  • High ethical standards, attention to detail, and collaborative leadership in managing risk programs and initiatives.
