Full Stack Engineer As our first full‑stack engineering hire, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our entire platform. You’ll be reporting directly to the CTO and will have significant ownership and responsibility for developing our core backend and frontend applications. You’ll be working across our AWS‑hosted Next.js backend, our React web client, and our React Native mobile apps. This is a hands‑on role for a self‑motivated engineer who is excited by the prospect of building a product from its early stages. Key Responsibilities Full‑Stack Development: Design, build, test, and deploy features across our entire technology stack, from the database to the user interface. Backend Services: Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and performant backend services using Next.js on AWS. Frontend Applications: Build and maintain our responsive web client (React) and our native mobile applications (React Native). Architecture & Design: Collaborate with the founding team on key architectural decisions and help establish best practices for coding, testing, and deployment. Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented TypeScript code. Champion code quality through peer reviews and automated testing. DevOps: Manage and improve our CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure to ensure smooth and frequent deployments. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of professional experience in software development. Deep expertise in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+). Proven commercial experience building full‑stack applications with React and Next.js. Strong experience developing mobile applications with React Native. Hands‑on experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, ECS). Proficiency with SQL and RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL). Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs. A solid understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions). Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal). A proactive, problem‑solving mindset and the ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
