Join to apply for the Senior Primary Design Engineer (HV/EHV) role at GHD Overview At GHD, we are looking for a Senior Primary Substation Design Engineer to join our Energy group. This role leads the delivery of high-quality projects for internal, existing, and new clients, while building commercial awareness and taking responsibility for coaching and technical development within the team. What You’ll Do — Responsibilities Define the scope of substation projects with a focus on the Primary HV/EHV substation component, bus configurations, design technical solutions, and lead project / design teams to deliver those solutions to meet the needs of our clients. Manage design stakeholders to further best-for-project outcomes. Lead technical delivery teams. Work in close collaboration with colleagues across service lines. Undertake peer reviews of designs completed by others within the discipline. Act as Project Manager for medium-sized projects, responsible for project documentation (scope of work, etc.) and managing client interactions. Plan, lead and coordinate resources and ensure project technical & commercial outcomes and client expectations are met. Lead the development and submission of proposals for routine projects. Communicate with clients about current work and future needs, provide timely updates on project progress. Supervise, support and train less experienced members of the team; formally mentoring young professionals. Developing the team, contributing to keeping team knowledge up to date with technical, regulatory and industry trends. What You’ll Do — Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or related field. At least 8 years relevant work experience. Australian project experience is a plus. Applies a depth of experience within a job area or broad knowledge of several job areas, demonstrated in a relevant industry or consulting business. Extensive knowledge of applicable standards, and familiarity with industry best practice. A track record for delivering exceptional client experience, and an eye for business development opportunities. Relevant on-site credentials. Sound knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, ETAP, etc. This job offer can be based either in Makati, Quezon City, or in our Cebu City office, depending on your home base/location.
