Primary Objective

The AI Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, and operationalizing intelligent systems that leverage both traditional machine learning and cutting-edge large language models (LLMs). This includes building and maintaining scalable AI solutions such as predictive models, conversational agents, and autonomous data agents that empower business units to interact with data and systems more intuitively. The engineer ensures these capabilities are secure, interpretable, and aligned with business goals, contributing directly to the company’s mission of democratizing AI across departments through modular, reusable, and user-friendly frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions, including ML models, chatbots, and autonomous data agents.
• Design and agree on solution architectures using agile and lean methods, focusing on scalability, modularity, and business value.
• Effectively communicate technical concepts and system capabilities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems and data platforms to ensure seamless interoperability and accessibility.
• Apply best practices in MLOps for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining AI models and agents in production environments.
• Document system designs, development processes, and deployment strategies for knowledge sharing and future reference.
• Engage collaboratively with diverse teams to ensure responsible AI practices, including ethical use, data privacy, and governance compliance.
• Contribute to agile ceremonies and team performance, promoting a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications / Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or other relevant languages for system integration.
• Experience working with Azure cloud platforms and other cloud-native AI services (e.g., Azure OpenAI, MS Fabric).
• Knowledge in data preprocessing, transformation, and integration across structured and unstructured sources.
• Familiarity in building, deploying, and maintaining ML models, LLM-powered applications, and AI agents in real-world business settings.
• Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs) for tasks such as text generation, summarization, and conversational AI.
• Understanding of MLOps practices including CI/CD, model monitoring, and versioning.
• Awareness of ethical AI principles, data privacy, and responsible AI usage.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex technical and business challenges.
• Demonstrated creativity in designing scalable and modular AI solutions that empower non-technical users.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work effectively in agile environments, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Strong commitment to continuous learning, staying updated on emerging AI technologies and best practices.
• Capable of promoting teamwork and nurturing a positive, respectful, and motivated team culture.
