Main duties / responsibilities

• The primary purpose of this role is to provide mapping/GIS support to all aspects of the client’s Transactions and Valuation teams, including the production of high-quality maps for use as marketing collateral in selling agribusiness properties throughout Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Utilising MapInfo Professional and Google Earth to set up, digitise, and export spatial data for map creation and analysis.
• Utilising Adobe Illustrator to create and export high-fidelity maps for Information Memorandums, submissions, brochures, and advertisements.
• Collect and organise information to create and maintain spatial databases.
• Perform research, provide informed opinions based on reports, survey land to map for accurate 3D information, and assist with project management and technical writing.
• Update relevant documentation with direction.
• Modify, update, and revise existing maps with new information or corrections.
• Assist team members with any GIS-related queries.

Experience

• Experience using Adobe Illustrator, MapInfo Professional and Google Earth.
• Experience using GIS software such as MapInfo Professional, QGIS, or ArcGIS Desktop & Online.
• Experience using Avenza’s MAPublisher plugin for Adobe Illustrator.
• Preferred that the candidate has past work experience in the GIS sector, property sector, spatial analysis or network planning, graphic design or an allied field.

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Strong analytical mind and ability to learn and develop new skills and techniques specific to GIS and the mapping function.
• Broad understanding of the locations of key agribusiness property markets throughout Australia.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cartographic principles and techniques.
• Demonstrated understanding of GIS administrative practices, coordinate systems, and GIS data creation.
• Knowledge of demographic and spatial data sources across Australia and ability to calibrate and cross-check data, using interpretive skills to spot inconsistencies.
• High degree of computer literacy.
• Ability to think logically and creatively and to communicate clearly in both verbal and written forms.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and prioritize appropriately.
• Keen eye for detail with dedication to producing the best possible result.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Work Schedule (Dayshift)

• Monday to Friday (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Manila Time)

Work Setup (WFH)

• Permanent Homebased
• Equipment provided by the company
• Stable/reliable internet connection with at least 20 Mbps for both download and upload
