About the role
We're seeking a talented Jr. Full Stack Developer to join our growing development team. This is a contract position based in Metro Manila , where you will work on both front-end and back-end technologies to develop and maintain web applications. As a junior developer, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with experienced developers, and gain hands-on experience across the full technology stack whilst contributing meaningfully to our product development efforts.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain web applications using both front-end and back-end technologies
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following established coding standards and best practices
- Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to design and implement new features
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality
- Debug and troubleshoot application issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions
- Assist in the planning and estimation of development tasks and project timelines
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to full stack development
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end development
- Experience with at least one back-end programming language such as Python, Java, Node.js, or PHP
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
- Basic understanding of version control systems, particularly Git
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and willingness to take on challenging tasks
- Preferred experience with modern frameworks such as React, Vue.js, Angular, Django, or Spring Boot
- Preferred exposure to agile development methodologies
- At least 1 year of experience in the same or similar role
