Primary Responsibilities

1. Develop engaging, informative, and audience-focused content that showcases the School of Computing, including its programs, students, faculty, projects, activities, achievements, and industry connections.

2. Conceptualize, write, produce, and publish content for iACADEMY’s digital platforms, including social media, website, campaigns, events, and other communication channels.

3. Transform complex computing and technology topics into clear, accessible, and engaging content for prospective students, parents, students, industry audiences, and the wider community.

4. Collaborate with faculty, students, alumni, industry professionals, and other stakeholders to identify compelling technology-related stories, projects, achievements, and experiences.

5. Conduct interviews, research, and information gathering to develop accurate and credible content on computing, technology, innovation, and related topics.

6. Write polished captions, articles, scripts, feature stories, educational content, interviews, and other editorial materials.

7. Develop content concepts that demonstrate the relevance of computing education to emerging technologies, careers, industries, and real-world applications.

8. Coordinate with the Multimedia team and other relevant departments to produce video, photography, graphics, and other multimedia content.

9. Monitor technology, education, social media, and digital content trends to identify timely topics and opportunities for audience engagement.

10. Maintain a content calendar and coordinate timelines to ensure consistent and timely delivery of assigned content.

11. Ensure that all content is aligned with iACADEMY’s brand standards, communication objectives, and appropriate institutional tone.

12. Work closely and harmoniously with other members of the group and internal stakeholders.

13. Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned by the immediate superior.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Computer Science, Information Technology, Multimedia Arts, or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating content creation, writing, storytelling, or related creative work.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong research, writing, interviewing, and storytelling abilities.
  • Ability to understand technology-related concepts and communicate them clearly to different audiences.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, digital content formats, and emerging technology trends.
  • Creative, curious, organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience in technology, education, media, or a related environment is an advantage.
