Production Supervisor

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Overseeing and directing daily operations within a production or manufacturing facility. Supervising production staff, ensuring quality standards are met, maintaining a safe work environment, and meeting production targets and deadlines. Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the electroforming equipment and processes to produce high-quality jewelry pieces. Ensure that the electroforming process adheres to quality and safety standards while troubleshooting any issues that arise. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate of Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field Related Work Experience: 5-10 years of work experience handling operations and/or electroforming process Experience in manufacturing industry and/or jewelry processing is an advantage Knowledge: Electroforming process: Understanding the basic principles of electroforming, including the role of the power supply, electrolysis tank, and circuit. Molding: Knowledge of different mold materials (e.g., wax, plastic) and techniques for creating and preparing molds for electroforming. Metal deposition: Understanding how to control the thickness and quality of the deposited metal layer, as well as the factors that influence the electroforming process. Post-Processing: Familiarity with techniques like polishing, plating, and adding decorative elements to the electroformed piece. Quality Control: Ability to visually inspect and assess the quality of the electroformed pieces, identifying defects and ensuring they meet the required standards. Troubleshooting: Skills in identifying and resolving issues that may arise during the electroforming process. Safety procedures: Knowledge of safety protocols for handling chemicals, operating equipment, and working in the electroforming environment. Material handling: Proficiency in handling various materials used in electroforming, including molds, metals, and chemicals. Equipment operation: Ability to operate and maintain the equipment used in the electroforming process, such as the electroforming tank, power supply, and other relevant tools. Basic jewelry making: Understanding of basic jewelry design and construction principles, as it relates to the electroforming process. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): Knowledge of GMP principles to ensure consistent and high-quality production. Skills: Leadership and Team Management: Guiding, motivating, and directing a production team to achieve goals. This includes delegating tasks, fostering a positive work environment, and resolving conflicts. Communication: Clearly and effectively conveying instructions, updates, and feedback to team members, other departments, and management. Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving issues that arise during the production process, making timely decisions to maintain efficiency and quality. Production Planning and Scheduling: Organizing and coordinating production activities to meet deadlines and optimize workflow. Quality Assurance: Ensuring products meet established quality standards and implementing quality control measures. Safety Regulations and Procedures: Enforcing safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment for the production team. Equipment Maintenance: Understanding the operation and maintenance of production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production. Process Improvement: Identifying areas for improvement in the production process and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Interpersonal Skills: Building and maintaining positive relationships with team members and other stakeholders. Decision-Making: Making sound and timely decisions based on available information and production needs. Analytical Skills: Assessing production data and identifying trends or potential issues within the manufacturing process. Time Management: Managing time effectively to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and within budget. Proficiency in MS Office: Utilizing software for reporting, communication, and data analysis. Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes: Understanding the specific processes and requirements of the production environment.
