Is responsible for the general care of patients within assigned area. JOB DESCRIPTION Radiologic Technologist is primarily responsible in performing in any radiological procedures while considering the patient needs and conditions. Assist the Radiologist in performing special procedures in X-ray, CT-Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammogram, Panoramic, Bone Densitometry and Operating Room. Provide a good image radiograph that are acceptable to the Radiologist’s preferences without increasing or giving a high radiation dose to the patient. Establish good camaraderie in both patient and co-workers. Duties and Responsibilities Perform all requested radiographic and special procedures in X-ray, CT scan, MRI, Panoramic, Bone Densitometry and fluoroscopy that can be interpreted by the Physician and/or Radiologist. Practice the cardinal principle and ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable). Explain the procedures to the patient to ensure safety and comfort during the examination. Explain the patient preparation for specific radiographic procedure. Reviewing patients’ charts and Doctors’ notes prior the examination, and maintaining patients’ records during and after procedures. Position patient appropriately for radiographic, or similar sonographic procedures. Ensures the operation of radiology equipment by doing preventive maintenance requirements of the machine and troubleshooting malfunction. Receive, assist and immobilize patient in accordance with commonly accepted procedures and commensurate with physical and mental condition of each patient. Prepare and administer upon the orders of the radiologist or other physicians any ingestible and injectable contrast media necessary for the radiographic demonstration of anatomic structure or physiological processes. Developed exposed radiographic films of all type as required using Automatic processor or PACS machine method. Arrange proper scheduling of in-patient and out-patient for their examination. Help the clerk or receptionist in sorting and filing of finished radiographs. Retrieving of old study and/or films for comparison. Logging and organizing image results, developing film, assisting with the interpretation of the radiograph results, and consulting with Radiologists to determine if other images need to be taken. Warding of results. Perform the other duties as maybe assigned from time to time by the management. #J-18808-Ljbffr
