Software Engineer – LSEG Taguig Location Taguig, National Capital Region, Philippines Position Overview We’re looking for a software engineer who enjoys building user interfaces that are intuitive, responsive, and thoughtfully designed. This role focuses primarily on front‑end development, but you’ll also be involved in back‑end tasks when needed. We work closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to create tools that are useful and easy to use. We value open communication, shared learning, and a willingness to improve how we work together. Responsibilities Build and maintain front‑end applications using ReactJS, TypeScript, and modern web development tools, ensuring that the user experience is smooth and consistent across devices. Collaborate with designers and product managers to understand user needs and translate design concepts into working features that are both functional and visually clear. Connect front‑end components to back‑end services, handling data flow and state management in a way that keeps the interface responsive and reliable. Write code that is modular, well‑documented, and easy for others to read and build upon. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and planning sessions to help shape the direction of our front‑end architecture. Occasionally support back‑end development tasks, especially when front‑end features require changes to APIs or data models. Help improve performance, accessibility and usability across the application. Work with teammates to integrate AI‑powered features into the front‑end. Use APIs from AI services. We take time to understand the problem before jumping into a solution, and we encourage everyone to ask questions and share ideas. Required Skills & Experience 2–5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on front‑end technologies. Solid experience with ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, and a good understanding of how to structure and organize front‑end code. Familiarity with frameworks like Next.js, including server‑side rendering and routing. Basic understanding of back‑end technologies such as Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot, and how they connect to front‑end systems. Comfortable working with RESTful APIs and using Git for version control. Basic experience consuming AI APIs or SDKs in front‑end applications. We value engineers who take the time to write clear code, explain their thinking, and help others understand how things work. Desired Skills & Experience Experience improving front‑end performance and accessibility, especially for users on slower devices or networks. Familiarity with design systems, responsive layouts, and accessibility standards. Exposure to testing tools like React Testing Library. Understanding of back‑end architecture and how front‑end decisions affect system performance and security. Experience integrating AI features such as autocomplete, summarization, or image recognition.
