JOB DETAILS The SEO Specialist will own the end-to-end optimization to drive sustainable, high-quality organic traffic and increase subscription revenue. Initially, this role will inherit an existing strategy, but over time will be expected to evolve and lead SEO strategy across technical, on-page, and off-page pillars. This is a senior, hands-on role — the successful candidate will set up the SEO infrastructure, execute optimizations, and continuously identify opportunities to improve visibility, rankings, and performance. RESPONSIBILITIES Implement and manage technical, on-page, and off-page SEO initiatives across both websites. Conduct in-depth keyword research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities in the supplements and health categories. Optimize site structure, metadata, internal linking, and technical performance to improve crawlability and rankings. Develop and execute backlink acquisition strategies to increase domain authority. Collaborate with in-house content specialists to brief and guide SEO-driven content creation. Work with developers to ensure SEO best practices are implemented on-site (including structured data, site speed, and mobile optimization). Establish analytics and reporting frameworks (Google Search Console, GA4, etc.) to track performance and provide weekly reports to the Head of E-Commerce. Prepare the business for international SEO expansion within 12–18 months. Stay up to date with algorithm changes, emerging SEO practices, and competitive landscapes. Key Requirements (Skills & Experience) 5+ years proven experience in SEO for D2C/e-commerce brands, ideally in supplements, nutrition, or health. Expertise in technical SEO, on-page optimisation, and off-page link-building strategies. Strong experience with keyword research, competitor analysis, and search intent mapping. Ability to independently set up SEO tools and infrastructure (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, or equivalents). Strong working knowledge of Google Search Console, GA4, and tag management. Track record of delivering measurable improvements in organic traffic and rankings. Excellent English communication skills, able to present insights simply and clearly to non-technical stakeholders. A collaborative, proactive, and upbeat team player with a growth mindset.
