Broadcast Switcher

We are looking for a Broadcast Switcher who is proficient in operating broadcast switchers and has a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in live television production, with a thorough understanding of studio operations and a passion for delivering seamless broadcasts.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain broadcast switchers during live television productions.
• Coordinate with directors, producers, and other production staff to ensure smooth transitions between cameras, graphics, and other elements during live broadcasts.
• Monitor incoming feeds and ensure all elements are synchronized and ready for air.
• Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise and implement solutions quickly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with camera operators, audio engineers, and other crew members to achieve the desired production quality.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest technology and trends in television production and make recommendations for equipment upgrades or workflow improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a TV Switcher in a live television production environment.
• Proficiency in operation broadcast switchers, including familiarity with industry-standard models such as Ross Video, Grass Valley, or Blackmagic Design.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• A keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering high-quality broadcasts under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of studio operations, including camera set-ups, audio routing, and lighting techniques.
• Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Broadcasting, film production, or a related field.
• Certification or training in television production or broadcast engineering.
• Familiarity with industry-specific protocols and standards, such as SMPTE timecode and EDU R128 audio loudness normalization.
• Must be willing to be assigned in Mandaluyong.
• Must have a driver's license to drive a 4-wheeled vehicle.
• Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
