Rate: $8/hr and earn up to PHP 21,000-32,000+/month
Schedule: Flexible Hours (Any Day/Time): 10–15 hours per week EST , with hopes of increasing over time.
Part-Time Paralegal Assistant (Work From Home)
About the Role: We are looking for someone to help format our legal documents to court requirements (cases, motions, memoranda). Formatting only, no drafting or legal advice.
Responsibilities
Format pleadings, motions, memoranda, and supporting documents to Connecticut Superior Court requirements (captions, return dates, party blocks, certification of service, page setup)
Convert client-supplied drafts (Word, email, scanned) into clean, filing-ready PDFs
Apply consistent citation, heading, numbering, and exhibit-labeling conventions across documents
Proofread for typos, missing signatures/dates, and incomplete sections; flag anything that appears to need the client's attention before filing
Prepare documents in the format required for Connecticut e-filing and, if directed, walk the client through the upload steps
Track incoming requests, deadlines, and completed items; confirm receipt and turnaround time on each document
Maintain an organized file structure for all case documents and templates
Communicate with the client via email regarding document status and any formatting questions
Must Have Qualifications
Working knowledge of U.S. court document structure: pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, exhibits, certifications
Ability to read and apply court formatting rules from a rulebook (Connecticut Practice Book) without step-by-step instructio
Advanced Microsoft Word skills: styles, section breaks, tables of contents, headers/footers, tracked changes
Proficiency creating and editing PDFs (Adobe Acrobat or equivalent), including bookmarks and combining files
Excellent written English with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working from documents sent by email with minimal direction, and asking clarifying questions when needed
Available to overlap with U.S. Eastern Time for at least part of each working day
Able to handle confidential legal materials with discretion
