The Tax Accountant will assist the Tax Manager in overseeing the tax compliance and reporting processes of the SAMC group to ensure efficient, and accurate reporting and payment of taxes. He/She will also be responsible in ensuring the timely compliance and submission of the reports to the BIR, LGUs, BOI, and etc.

  • Performs first level review of tax computations, drafts BIR tax returns and require attachments (i.e., Alphalists, Summary List, SAWT. etc.), and monitors/ensure the accurate and timely filing of tax returns and submission of their required attachments

  • Works closely with Accounting and Financial Reporting in analyzing and implementing tax planning opportunities and in various internal reporting activities

  • Assists in preparing/collating regulatory requirements for BIR, BOI, BOC, etc., and ensures the timely compliance thereof

  • Stays abreast of new tax developments and understands their links to and impact on business

  • Assists in collating requirements for annual business permit renewal and real property tax (RPT) compliance and ensures timely payment of local business tax, permit fees, and RPT

  • Performs analysis and reconciliations of tax audit findings and assists in collating supporting documents required during the course of tax audits conducted by the BIR and/or LGU

  • Ensures completeness and systematic safekeeping of compliance related documents

  • Provides guidance to other departments and operational teams on compliance requirements

  • Performs other ad hoc duties as assigned or required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in related field

  • CPA license is a plus

  • Experience in a manufacturing company enjoying tax incentives is an advantage

  • Willing to work onsite at the Head Office, BGC, Taguig City
