Job Description

As part of Tomorrow.io's Customer Team, the Solutions Engineering (SE) Team enables weather-sensitive industries such as technology, construction, aviation, energy, outdoor entertainment, autonomous vehicles, drones, and other innovative businesses to operate despite weather challenges.

We are seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our global team. The SEs play a vital client-facing role, collaborating with prospective clients, sales teams, product managers, and R&D to deliver effective solutions and value. They are responsible for designing tailored solutions to client problems, requiring strong management, interpersonal skills, and multi-tasking abilities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth within a dynamic environment.

This position involves supporting pre- and post-sales technical efforts for government clients across the APAC region, including countries like Indonesia, India, the Philippines, and Thailand.

What you'll do:

• Demonstrate Tomorrow.io’s value to prospective government and enterprise customers by understanding their needs and our solutions
• Lead problem discovery and solution design, including demonstrations and Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements
• Write proposals for strategic opportunities, including government contracts
• Advocate for customer needs across departments, including Product and R&D
• Become an expert on Tomorrow.io’s capabilities and collaborate with sales teams to communicate business value

What you bring:

• 5+ years of experience in operational meteorology, weather forecasting, or applied climate services
• Strong understanding of radar and satellite data interpretation, nowcasting, and NWP outputs
• Experience supporting enterprise or government clients in SaaS or weather technology industries
• Familiarity with APIs and cloud data workflows
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and explain complex topics

Bonus Experience:

• Master’s degree or higher in Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Earth Sciences, or related fields
• Experience with geospatial datasets and NWP model workflows
• Experience advising public-sector organizations in APAC
• Proficiency with GIS, Python, WRF, ECMWF APIs
• Fluency in regional languages such as Bahasa Indonesia, Hindi, Thai, Vietnamese, or Tagalog
• Experience in pre-sales, customer success, or implementation roles at tech startups

Tomorrow.io Solutions Engineers are key in our sales cycle, designing solutions and guiding customers to realize business value. You will work closely with account executives, customer success teams, product managers, and research scientists, demonstrating leadership in weather intelligence and industry solutions. Ultimately, you will help customers improve decision-making using Tomorrow.io’s platform.
