Accountant / Financial Data Analyst Location: Philippines (Remote) Shift: Day Shift (Bermuda Time) Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Job Summary: The Accountant / Financial and Data Analyst is a critical role that combines traditional accounting duties with advanced financial analysis to support FoodHub, Ultra, and BMSG Medical Practice. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records while providing insightful data analysis to drive business decisions. The role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, data analysis, and the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and actionable manner. Key Responsibilities: Accounting Responsibilities: Perform daily accounting tasks, including general ledger management, financial reconciliations, and monthly closings. Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments. Reconcile bank statements, monitor cash flow, and manage payroll processes. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance documentation. Maintain up-to-date financial records and documentation, supporting the Senior Accountant and CFO in audits. Financial Analysis Responsibilities: Business & Operations Analysis: Lead ongoing analysis of business results, focusing on variance versus expectations. Understand and communicate changes in trends in company, district, and store-level performance. Support all business analysis with accurate analytical models using a variety of data and assumptions. Project Support: Serve as a key member of teams working on core company initiatives. Analyze sales and gross profit performance, including ad hoc analysis of sales-driving initiatives, product costs, and tests related to new procedures or equipment. Provide analysis to support senior management decision-making. Forecasting: Participate in the development of quarterly, annual, and multi-year financial forecasts. Collaborate with broader teams to test key forecast assumptions and run alternate scenarios. Planning: Support the annual operating and financial planning process, emphasizing critical strategic initiatives. Capital Planning: Lead analysis of P&L impact and return on capital of company projects and potential acquisitions. Provide data to support capital investment decisions. Evaluation of Marketing and Catering Programs: Analyze the results of marketing and catering programs, identifying opportunities to optimize revenue and profitability. Data Analysis Responsibilities: Conduct financial and operational data analysis, creating reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). Evaluate financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement across the business. Collaborate with IT to ensure data accuracy and integrate financial data with broader business intelligence initiatives. Use advanced Excel functions and other analytical tools to model financial scenarios, analyze risks, and provide recommendations.
