Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry and Physics lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
  • Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, assessments, laboratory activities, and other learning resources.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Use inquiry-based and student-centered teaching approaches to promote critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments and ensure proper safety procedures are followed.
  • Assess and monitor students’ academic progress and provide appropriate feedback and support.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, assessments, and student performance.
  • Integrate educational technology and digital learning tools into instruction.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, school programs, and academic events.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and academic coordinators in curriculum planning and student development.
  • Support students in preparing for examinations, projects, research, and other academic requirements.
  • Perform other teaching-related duties as assigned by the School Administration.

Job Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Science Education, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching license (PRC or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience.
  • IB Diploma Programme (IB DP) teaching experience is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of IB philosophy, inquiry-based learning, and student-centered instruction is an advantage.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Proficient in educational technology and digital teaching tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and commitment to student learning.
