Backend Engineer at Somewhere Location: Philippines (Remote) Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8 hours between 7 AM and 6 PM EST. We help customers reduce resource consumption and enable sustainable operations. Building great software isn’t just what we do—it’s how we drive the energy industry forward. This high‑impact role focuses on building backend systems that power intuitive user experiences. You’ll develop scalable, reliable APIs and infrastructure. Our stack: C#, RESTful APIs, SQL, Azure, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular. Key Responsibilities Collaborate within a cross‑functional team to develop and support enterprise‑level, browser‑based software applications. Build robust, well‑documented, versioned APIs that drive our products and integrate seamlessly into customer workflows. Ensure APIs are reliable, scalable, and built to high‑quality standards. Develop automated unit and integration tests to ensure code meets business requirements. Contribute to long‑term strategy and roadmap. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience in production‑level web application development with a focus on APIs and RESTful services. Expert‑level understanding of .NET Core. Expert‑level understanding of SQL, ORM, EF, and general database interactions. Track record of building or maintaining scalable code, ensuring data quality, and supporting operational needs. Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate across teams. Doer and thinker mindset—contribute beyond fixing bugs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
