Job Description The Investment Officer plays a crucial role in preparing essential financial analyses, forecasts, and valuation studies that inform strategic financial and operational decisions. The role ensures accuracy and reliability of financial data, identifies key trends and insights, and provides guidance to senior management and stakeholders. Responsibilities Financial Reporting and Analysis Ensure thorough, accurate, and timely preparation of financials for the Food Group divisions, including internal stakeholders (BOD, EXCOM, MANCOM) and external parties (banks, government institutions). Prepare ad‑hoc reports with basic and deeper analysis, maintaining data integrity and confidentiality. Coordinate with various departments to gather information. Valuation and Investment Analysis Build financial models and valuation cases for expansions, new businesses, initiatives, and M&A. Provide analytical support to executives, business development, corporate strategy, and other teams. Conduct post‑mortem analysis and investment lookback. Prepare presentation materials and present findings to senior management. Capital Budgeting Assist in preparing/updating the 10‑Year War Chest aligned with the Food Group strategy and collaborate with Country Teams for long‑term forecasts. Other Duties Support CFOs, COOs, Country Directors, Controllers, and executives with scenario analyses; research support to Treasury and Risk & Commodity departments; cash, debt, and working capital analysis; attend meetings and cross‑functional teams; perform additional financial analysis as directed by the AVP Finance Investments/VP Corporate Finance. Qualifications Graduate in Business, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering. CPA and/or MBA/CFA charterholder preferred. Minimum five (5) years of investment banking, transaction advisory, or deal advisory experience at a top‑tier bank or Big Four, involving M&A, due diligence, and capital raising. Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and valuation skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Deep knowledge and interest in finance, economics, banking, and capital markets. Project management skill and work ethic with demonstrated commitment to excellence. Capacity to work in a fast‑paced, changing environment with minimal supervision. Willingness to travel and work with colleagues in various operating sites in the Philippines and abroad. Proven ability to take control and manage tasks independently to closure. Self‑starter, continuous learner, independent thinker, results‑oriented, and collaborative.
