The position also supports internal control operations, ensures timely submission of audit reports, and contributes to the development of policies and procedures that strengthen accountability, efficiency, and compliance within the Department. Functions and Responsibilities: 1. Supports the Section Head in the monitoring, review, and management of accountabilities related to Commission on Audit (COA) documents, including Audit Observation Memoranda (AOMS), Notices of Suspension (NS), and Notices of Disallowance (ND); 2. Focuses on drafting clear, accurate, and well-structured management responses, position papers memoranda, and related communications for approval of the Internal Audit and Management Services (IAMS) Director and COA Head Focal; 3. Assists in the performance of activities governing internal control operations of the Department; 4. Prepares and ensures the timely submission of all necessary audit reports and supporting documents; 5. Drafts, activities, policies, procedures, and interventions relevant to internal control and auditing systems, processes, and practices; 6. Supports the Section Head in ensuring that operational efficiency and effectiveness are achieved through effective risk management and internal controls; 7. Ensures that operational management remains consistent with the mandates of the Division and the Department; 8. Contributes to the development of procedures, policies, measures, and criteria covering internal controls; and 9. Performs other related tasks as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
