Radiologic Technologist

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures, such as X-ray examinations, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT) scans and Ultrasound Follows instructions from Physicians regarding which area of the patient’s body needs imaging Correctly positions the patient, adjusts the imaging equipment to the specified position Produces diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients' records Talks the patient through the procedure and answers questions to lower their anxiety Maintains a safe and clean working environment Monitors patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation to the patients and themselves Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating future needs and placing orders What will you do: Carry out magnetic resonance imaging procedures to best practice standards of radiographic technique. Provide a great experience for patients attending for MRI scanning, supporting them through the process from referral to results Run quality assurance checks on equipment and action as appropriate Respect and work within patient's and service users' customs, values and spiritual beliefs, making sure their views are sought and considered. Support patient bookings and make sure Patient Information Systems are maintained with accurate and up-to-date information Understand and work in line with our suite of corporate policies supporting personal and clinical safety, including the Health and Safety Policy and Infection Prevention and Control Policy Demonstrate safe, effective practice in line with policies and procedures Maintain professional competencies and CPD. Take ownership and fulfil the requirements of any required statutory and mandatory training What you are responsible for: Adhering to all operational procedures as outlined by Himex Corp. (daily returns, timesheets, private mileage returns, etc) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and must be a Licensed Radiologic Technologist At least 2 to 3 years experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, and compassion Good mathematical abilities and technical skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
