We are looking for: A motivated Senior Python developer / Team Lead who can help build, innovate and maintain the worlds largest crawler of legal data. This is where you can make your mark Experience: 5+ years (with 3+ years leadership) Employment Type: Full-time Team Size: 5-10 Python developers and AI engineers Role Overview We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design and implement large-scale natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) pipelines for legal and regulatory data. In this role, you will lead initiatives to tokenize, segment, and interpret complex legal texts, and build custom AI models that power our taxonomy classification, summarization, and intelligent retrieval systems . You will collaborate closely with our data engineering, product, and research teams to transform our proprietary legal datasets into state-of-the-art AI capabilities for our platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable NLP and ML pipelines for legal and regulatory data. Develop and fine-tune custom AI models for text segmentation, classification, and understanding. Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate AI models into production systems. Optimize models for performance and efficiency across GPU-based infrastructure. Stay current with advancements in LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented architectures. Requirements 3+ years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning, NLP, or AI Engineering , preferably with production-grade systems. Proven experience deploying and maintaining ML models in production at scale . Solid understanding of the GPU computing stack (CUDA, drivers, acceleration libraries). Strong proficiency in Python , PyTorch or TensorFlow , and modern NLP frameworks such as Hugging Face Transformers , spaCy , and LangChain . Expertise in text segmentation, tokenization, NER, classification , and semantic embeddings (e.g., BERT, Sentence-BERT, LLaMA, Claude, Mistral). Experience designing, fine-tuning, quantizing, and evaluating custom AI models . Hands-on experience with vector databases (OpenSearch k-NN, FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate). Familiarity with LLM-based pipelines , including prompt engineering , RAG , function calling , and evaluation frameworks . Experience handling large-scale text datasets (tens to hundreds of GBs) using distributed systems such as AWS S3, EKS, or equivalent. Nice to have Background in legal tech , regulatory data , or knowledge graph design . Familiarity with the AWS AI ecosystem (SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, EKS). Experience with multilingual legal or regulatory data (e.g., EU directives, local laws). Proficiency with Kubernetes , Docker , Terraform , and CI/CD pipelines for scalable ML deployments.
