Job Purpose: We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team You will play a vital role in managing procurement and supporting innovation for the Bakery / Food categories, ensuring smooth operations and consistent product quality across stores. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and process Purchase Orders based on approved stock and re-order forms Coordinate item orders and deliveries with suppliers Maintain merchandise SKUs in the system – including vendor codes, item costs, and product categories Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery Support inventory management and replenishment strategies Conduct research and development for new product concepts and innovations Lead product development initiatives from ideation to execution Perform cost analysis and establish standard costing for new and existing products Collaborate with store teams and procurement to maintain product quality and consistency across all branches Ensure all product documentation, recipe cards, and cost sheets are regularly updated and aligned Qualifications: Must-Haves: Bachelor’s/College Degree in any business-related field or NCII/Pastry Courses At least 2 years of experience in Buying or Merchandising (Fresh & Food category) Strong negotiation skills with vendors and suppliers Proficiency in food costing, computer applications (Excel, inventory systems), and communication Technically inclined with keen attention to detail Nice-to-Haves: Background in Baking, Pastry, or Culinary Arts Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or in a kitchen-based role Familiarity with procurement systems or retail store operations What’s In It for You (WIFM): Fast-Track Career Growth Global Exposure and travel opportunities Professional Development through training and innovation projects Diverse Connections – work with industry experts and suppliers Be Part of Innovation – help shape the future of product offerings #J-18808-Ljbffr
