Qualifications Sea service experience as at least Second Engineer onboard ocean‑going vessels Hands‑on experience with Dual Fuel Engines (operation, maintenance, or troubleshooting) Instructor Training Certificates: IMO Model Course 6.09 (Training Course for Instructors) IMO Model Course 6.10 (Train the Simulator Trainer and Assessor) — an advantage IMO 3.12 (Assessment, Examination and Certification of Seafarers) — an advantage Excellent communication and presentation skills Passion for mentoring and developing seafarers Key Responsibilities Deliver theoretical and practical training in marine engineering and dual‑fuel engine operations. Conduct simulator‑based exercises and assessments in accordance with STCW and company standards. Participate in the development and updating of course materials and training modules. Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements (e.g., MARINA, DNV, Traficom). Contribute to GigaMare’s culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
