Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a Regulatory Reporting team (Analysts, Senior Analysts and Technical Coordinators) of 8-10 full time employees, including training, performance management and overseeing the preparation and review of monthly/quarterly Ongoing Charges Figure (OCF) and Synthetic Risk and Reward Profile (SRRI) in the KIID under UCITS IV.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on information received from internal supporting functions with close attention to detail.
  • Maintain the team’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as per the agreed Service Level Document (SLD) with the home country.
  • Work closely with counterparts in home locations to resolve queries.
  • Create, maintain and update procedures and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all controls and procedures outlined in the procedures manual and general company policies.
  • Review and sign off on reports produced by other team members.
  • Collaborate with Managers and stakeholders across Northern Trust locations during transitions and onboarding of processes in Manila, per the transition plan.
  • Ensure all scheduled work is completed by agreed deadlines; ensure checklists are signed and files are complete.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce risk and increase efficiency of the function.
  • Utilize available technology effectively to improve efficiency.
  • Report and escalate any operational issues and service delivery concerns (e.g., late reporting) as appropriate.
  • Regularly review daily controls and consider suggested procedural changes.
  • Assist with recruiting, training and coaching of new team members.
  • Assist Managers in producing and enhancing revised departmental procedures for use as training tools.
  • Work with Managers to continuously assess processes to improve efficiency, reduce risk and/or cost, and to increase staff engagement and motivation.
  • Manage workload allocation fairly and efficiently; regularly review work status and set priorities.
  • Provide leadership across the team and other groups by sharing knowledge as appropriate.
  • Provide objective and regular feedback to team members; conduct performance reviews and appraisals.
  • Collaborate with Managers on processes/projects, including leading or assisting to implement new processes to help the team achieve its goals and KPIs.
  • Perform additional tasks as required by the role and business needs.
Qualifications
  • 6 - 8 years of experience in reporting functions such as financial reporting, regulatory reporting, client reporting and board reporting in an Audit Firm, Hedge Fund, Mutual Fund or Financial institution. Team Leader with at least 2 years in supervising teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • People management experience gained within a financial services organization.
  • Background in regulatory/statutory reporting preferred.
  • Minimum of 24 months experience in the process area.
