Visit ) Free 24/7 access to our office gyms (Ortigas and Makati) with a free physical fitness trainer Exclusive Emapta Lifestyle perks (hotel and restaurant discounts, and more) Mentorship and exposure to global leaders and teams Diverse and supportive work environment The Qualifications We Seek Experience: 10+ years of professional experience SQL, MySQL, MongoDB expertise Any Microsoft SQL certification Part‑time availability (2 or 3 days a week) Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) 4‑8 years of SQL Server database administration experience within enterprise or MSP environments Strong experience supporting hybrid environments (on‑premises and Azure SQL) Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of SQL Server architecture, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning Expertise with SQL Server Agent, SSRS, SSIS, and automation via PowerShell Strong understanding of Windows Server administration and Active Directory integration Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Monitor, and Azure Backup Familiarity with HaloPSA, PRTG, or other monitoring tools is an asset Soft Skills: Analytical and methodical problem‑solving approach Excellent communication and documentation skills (English/French bilingualism an asset) Ability to manage multiple client environments and priorities Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and teamwork Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Administrator (MCSA/MCSE) ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management certification Performance Metrics: Database uptime and SLA adherence (99.9% or higher) Successful completion of backup and recovery tests Performance optimization results and incident reduction Adherence to change management and security compliance policies Your Daily Tasks Database Administration Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases (2016, 2019, 2022, and Azure SQL) Manage database provisioning, patching, and lifecycle maintenance across client and internal environments Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and capacity using tools such as SQL Profiler, Redgate, and native DMVs Maintain secure database configurations, roles, and permissions in alignment with security and compliance standards Performance & Optimization Analyze and optimize T‑SQL queries, indexes, and schema design for optimal performance Identify and troubleshoot locking, blocking, and deadlock scenarios Implement proactive monitoring and alerting to resolve performance issues before impact Backup, Recovery & High Availability Develop, document, and test database backup and recovery procedures Implement and manage HA and DR solutions, including Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, and Replication Ensure compliance with client‑specific RPO/RTO objectives Automation & Process Improvement Develop PowerShell and T‑SQL automation scripts to streamline administration, monitoring, and maintenance Contribute to automation initiatives within HaloPSA and Azure DevOps pipelines Participate in the continuous improvement of Managed Services standards and runbooks Provide expert‑level support for critical database incidents, including after‑hours escalation when required Collaborate with cloud architects, application developers, and service desk teams to ensure reliability and security Participate in client onboarding, migrations, and infrastructure modernization projects Welcome to Emapta Philippines Join a team that values camaraderie, excellence, and growth.
