The role

REBEL Helpline Responders are an integral part of the REBEL experience, ensuring mental health support for our customers and helping us reach more people around the world. We’re looking for highly motivated mental health professionals to join our REBEL team.

Responsibilities
  • Helpline response: Ensure hotlines and helplines are properly staffed. This includes appropriate efforts during line surges and providing call, text and chat support when appropriate.
  • Quality and Management: Standards are maintained for effectiveness with callers. Scripts are maintained and best practices are utilized for all scenarios.
  • Internal engagement: Be responsive and reach out to all assigned stakeholders and internal stakeholders through effective communication channels.
  • Keep organized: Utilizes systems to effectively track and communicate with clients and their information.
  • Care co-ordination: Ensure patients receive the appropriate follow-up care, conducting regular triage & check-ins
  • Work collaboratively: Work closely with the rest of the operations team and fellow coaches to address clients’ needs as effectively as possible.
  • Put the client first: Have an empathetic and proactive approach to helping clients in need
Qualifications

In order to succeed in the role, you should ideally have:

  • At least 2-4 years experience working as a helpline responder
  • Completed training in SFBT (Solution-Focused Brief Therapy) or its equivalent
  • Certified in Psychological First Aid and Suicide Prevention
  • Masters in Psychology preferred
  • Be reliable and professional at all times
  • Have excellent communication skills in English and Tagalog
  • Be open to feedback and always willing to improve and develop
  • Technical know-how (ideally with Zoom) for meetings and online development courses
