Naismith Truck Movers is seeking a Full Stack WordPress Engineer to enhance and maintain its corporate and marketing websites, ensuring they remain modern, responsive, and aligned with brand identity. The role involves building and customising WordPress sites, creating engaging user experiences, and ensuring seamless integration with Naismith Truck Movers’ broader digital ecosystem.

This remote position, based in the Philippines, will report to Daryl Naismith, and is ideal for a technically skilled developer with strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and creative flair.

This role is being recruited by Clarke Point, a premier Singapore-based agency dedicated to delivering global recruitment and staffing solutions, ( and is for a long-term, full-time Independent Contractor.

• Build custom WordPress themes and plugins to support new features and design requirements.

• Design user flows, wireframes, and mockups for new WordPress website features and enhancements.

• Ensure responsive, mobile-friendly, and user-centred design across platforms.

• Implement SEO best practices to maximise site visibility and performance.

• Understand WordPress architecture, PHP, and MySQL; manage hosting environments, deployments, and database optimisation; troubleshoot performance and security issues on the server side.

• Integrate WordPress with third-party tools (e.g. CRM, analytics, lead generation platforms).

• Monitor and troubleshoot website performance, security, and technical issues.

• Document processes, workflows, and updates for internal knowledge sharing.

• Working knowledge of CDNs (Content Delivery Networks) and Cloudflare or similar services for website performance, caching, and security.

• Experience working as an Independent Contractor for an Australian, American or similar client.

• Minimum 3 years’ professional experience as a WordPress developer.

• Demonstrated ability to build and customise WordPress themes and plugins.

• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.

• Experience managing WordPress CMS environments, including hosting, security, and updates.

• Proven track record of developing responsive, cross-browser compatible websites.

• Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and website performance optimisation.

• Ability to work remotely with clear communication and task management skills.

• Experience with design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Figma, Adobe XD, or Canva.

• Understanding of UX/UI design principles.

• Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and related tracking tools.

• Previous experience supporting tech start-ups or logistics/transport businesses.

  • Wired (LAN) connection for stability is preferred

  • Backup internet source (e.g., pocket Wi-Fi or mobile hotspot) is a plus

• Clear Audio Equipment –

  • Noise-cancelling headset with built-in microphone

  • Clear audio for calls and video meetings

• Working Webcam – Required for virtual meetings and team check-ins

• Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) or access to a backup power source

  • Especially important for areas prone to power outages

• Up-to-date Antivirus or Security Software – To protect company and client data

This role is for a long-term, full-time Independent Contractor with the following additional perks:

• Philippine Regular Holidays: 100% pay if not worked; 200% pay if worked.

• Philippine Special Non-Working Holidays: Additional 30% pay if worked.

• Vacation Leave: 12 days per year, granted upon successful completion of the probation period.

• Sick Leave: 6 days per year, available annually.

• Health Insurance Allowance: ₱2,500 per month provided toward family health insurance after the probation period.

• Flexible Work Environment: Fully remote, Monday to Friday, aligned with Australian business hours.

Naismith Truck Movers is based in Melbourne, Australia, thus the work hours will follow Melbourne time (GMT +10) with some flexibility.
