Job Summary: Kayana is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cloud Engineer with significant hands‑on experience in designing, delivering, and maintaining scalable, secure, high‑performance, and cost‑efficient cloud‑optimized solutions across the organization. The role is critical in shaping Kayana’s digital ecosystem that integrates systems, productizes data/services, and streamlines processes across various entities within and outside the organization. As a lead cloud engineer, you will collaborate closely with business, product, and engineering teams to translate objectives into end‑to‑end delivery of cloud‑optimized solutions and ensure it meets performance, security, and compliance requirements. This role plays a pivotal part in Kayana’s integration journey by delivering high‑impact cloud‑optimized solutions that drive exceptional products and services. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and own organization’s cloud architectures across PaaS, SaaS models and various API‑ and data‑driven technology stack, defining cloud‑optimized patterns Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of cloud solutions within organization’s platforms Lead the implementation of IaC (Infrastructure‑as‑Code) using tools like Terraform/CF, standardizing reusable modules and enforcing best practices Integrate cloud infrastructure with various DevOps tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) Define performance metrics and implement monitoring solutions from infra layer all the way up to application/product layer Ensure secure configurations, encryptions, access management, and compliance regulations whilst also performing regular security reviews and audits Support compliance audits by providing logs, documentation, and architecture Maintain and optimize cloud environments and implement autoscaling, serverless, and managed services to improve efficiency and reduce operational overhead Contribute to organization’s monetization initiatives via AWS analytics, dashboards, logs, tags Collaborate with application owners, data architects, security teams, governance teams, business stakeholders, and partner vendors to ensure solution meets both functional and non‑functional requirements Provide technical leadership in the selection, implementation and optimization of cloud‑optimized solutions Establish observability practices and tools for tracking, logging, auditing, and improving platform reliability and performance Provide subject matter expertise during changes, incidents, root cause analysis related to failures and performance issues Keep updated of emerging cloud technologies and tools, evaluating and implementing them where they can deliver strategic advantage Identify opportunities for harnessing/innovation in cloud platform/infrastructure and automation Support and upskill internal cloud engineers through code reviews, architectural guidance, and hands‑on problem solving Coach and mentor junior to mid‑level engineers, creating high‑performing engineering culture Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, architecture, and/or infrastructure roles Proven and validated experience in designing, building, and managing cloud‑optimized solutions and cloud architectures (AWS primarily) Background in enterprise‑grade systems and automation at scale Multiple cross‑functional team collaboration in varying size and cloud maturity Prior experience in a lead and architect capacity, including technical leadership and decision making Start‑up experience is a plus Skills and Competencies: Expertise in design, implementation, maintenance, and support of organization‑wide cloud platform (AWS) Familiarity with multi‑cloud or hybrid cloud environments is a plus Knowledge on various cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) Proficiency in Terraform and CloudFormation Experience with Containerization (Docker) and Container Orchestration (Kubernetes) - EKS Skilled in CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins Strong scripting abilities in Python, Bash, PowerShell Familiarity with CloudWatch, Prometheus and similar tools for monitoring and logging Knowledge on IAM, encryption, network security, and compliance standards Cost and resource utilization and optimization of cloud solutions Knowledgeable and have experience in being part of a Cloud Capability Maturity journey Skilled in diagnosing cloud platform issues across complex systems and environments Ability to align cloud initiatives with enterprise architecture and long‑term organization goals Strong written and verbal communication to business proponents around design and implementation of cloud solutions Management of multiple, federated cloud engineering teams Encourage innovation and continuous improvement in cloud delivery Proficiency in various Tools: Cloud - AWS; integration‑related and data‑related services API Management - AWS API Gateway DevOps and CI/CD tools – GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CI/CD services Secrets and Identity Management - AWS Secrets Manager Observability - AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack Knowledge on integration and data practices Knowledge on various Azure and GCP services Skilled in managing multiple SIs around cloud delivery Has other relevant Cloud certifications iPaaS - WSO2, MuleSoft Anypoint Platform API Management - MuleSoft API Manager, Flex Gateway Observability - AWS X‑Ray Education / Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Other relevant certifications in cloud, DevOps, integration, data, or security are a plus (i.e., Terraform, Kubernetes, GCP/Azure) Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Kayana Solutions Inc. by 2x #J-18808-Ljbffr
