Position Summary

Reese IT Services, Inc. is seeking a Freelance IT Business Partner to act as a strategic bridge between our clients, IT Engineering, IT Operations, and Compliance teams. This role is responsible for reporting IT project and operations updates , managing the Drata GRC platform , conducting discovery calls with external customers , and translating business requirements into actionable deliverables for technical teams. The position will also be accountable for creating and maintaining documentation for our Managed Services team to ensure operational efficiency and compliance readiness.

This role requires the ability to work during US business hours (Arizona Time) to align with client and internal team schedules.

Key Responsibilities IT Project & Operations Reporting

• Prepare and deliver clear, concise updates on ongoing IT projects and operational performance.

• Maintain project tracking dashboards, milestone reports, and operational KPIs for both internal leadership and client stakeholders.

• Identify risks, dependencies, and issues, and ensure they are escalated to the appropriate teams.

Drata GRC Management

• Administer, monitor, and maintain the Drata compliance automation platform .

• Track compliance requirements for SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA , and other applicable frameworks.

• Coordinate with internal teams to collect, validate, and upload evidence to meet audit and compliance requirements.

• Monitor compliance alerts and follow through on remediation activities.

Client Engagement & Liaison

• Conduct discovery calls with external customers to gather requirements, understand challenges, and identify compliance/security needs.

• Serve as the primary liaison between clients and the IT Engineering/Operations teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions.

• Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients through consistent communication and proactive updates.

Managed Services Documentation

• Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) , runbooks, and technical documentation for Managed Services.

• Collaborate with engineers to accurately document configurations, troubleshooting guides, and workflows .

• Ensure documentation meets compliance, operational, and version control standards .

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 1+ years of experience in IT project coordination, IT operations reporting, or IT business partnership.

• Experience with GRC platforms (Drata preferred).

• Understanding of compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA .

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong skills in process documentation and knowledge management.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Teams).

• Ability and willingness to work during US business hours (Arizona Time) .

Preferred

• Experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.

• Background in IT service delivery management or technical account management .

• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Defender, Entra ID, and Intune.
