The TIG and SMAW Welder will be responsible for performing welding tasks using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) techniques to repair and maintain various metal components and structures within the facility. The role requires strong welding skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work effectively with different metals and alloys used in the manufacturing environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) welding on a variety of materials such as stainless steel, mild steel, and other alloys. • Inspect welded joints and materials to ensure strength, integrity, and compliance with safety and industry standards. • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications to execute precise welds. • Conduct regular maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working order. • Prepare, clean, and fit components for welding, ensuring the correct alignment and positioning of materials. • Ensure that all welds are completed according to company quality standards and safety protocols. • Maintain detailed records of welding activities, materials used, and time logs for traceability and compliance. • Collaborate with the maintenance teams to identify and resolve welding issues in various parts of the facility. • Assist in the fabrication and modification of metal components for equipment and structures used in the manufacturing process. • Support the installation or replacement of welding components in production lines and machinery. • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs to welding equipment and related tools. General Responsibilities: • Adhere to safety standards, including the use of appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and safe welding practices. • Follow all company safety procedures and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times. • Maintain cleanliness of the welding area, ensuring the work environment is free from hazardous materials. • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve welding processes and reduce downtime. • Assist in training junior welders and other maintenance staff as needed. • Assist in other tasks or projects as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. • Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by the immediate superior. QUALIFICATIONS • High school graduate or equivalent • Technical diploma or certification in Welding or a related field (e.g., TESDA National Certificate II or higher in Welding) • At least 1–2 years of welding experience in an industrial setting, preferably within manufacturing or food production industries • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in both TIG and SMAW welding techniques • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications • Experience with various metals, including stainless steel, mild steel, and other alloys commonly used in manufacturing • Strong understanding of safety standards, including welding safety and fire prevention • Good problem-solving, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment, including standing, lifting, and working in confined spaces as needed • May include shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays depending on operations. Salary Range: 18,070 to 20,000 per month
